Orbia Awarded on Forbes World’s Top Companies for Women 2023 List

BOSTON, November 15, 2023 – Orbia has been featured on the Forbes list of World’s Top Companies for Women 2023. This prestigious annual award is presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. The awardee list was announced on October 31, 2023, and is currently available on the Forbes website.

The World’s Top Companies for Women 2023 list reflects multinational corporations that were evaluated by approximately 70,000 women across 37 countries in multiple globally administered independent surveys. Over 650,000 data points were collected, with the final listing based on the aggregate of three scores:

  • Employer Brand Score: Women were asked to assess their employer across general workplace satisfaction metrics and rate how their employer performs on a series of gender-related topics, as well as their overall willingness to recommend. Women were additionally asked to evaluate other employers in their respective industries that stand out either positively or negatively.
  • Public Opinion Score: A women-only public opinion survey measured how women perceive companies in terms of gender equality.
  • Leadership Score: Objective criteria (i.e., the presence of a female CEO and the share of board/executive committee positions filled by women) were gathered via extensive desk research.

Butters continued, “In addition to striving for year-over-year gains in our percentage of women in management positions, we have made strides to improve female representation at the Board level, with one in four directors presently representing women. We are continuing to incorporate diversity and inclusion measures in our hiring practices, provide annual anti-harassment training, offer learning and development opportunities to our high-potential women and support next-generation female leaders on their leadership journeys through training, mentoring and our first employee resource group launched in 2022: the Orbia Women’s Network (OWN). These are just a few of the actions we take at Orbia to support the fulfillment, development and well-being of our women.”

In 2023, Orbia was one of the top 15 Mexican Stock Exchange-listed companies with the greatest representation of independent female directors and high-ranking executives, and was recognized by the 50/50 Women on Boards and Women Corporate Directors initiatives. Orbia also launched its employer brand and employer value proposition.
